“In keeping with the time frame to do this survey we have conducted a training of Trainer for Team Leader in Vava’u Youth Office as a way of familiarizing Teams who will carry out the survey in each respective island when we finalized the survey paper and questionnaire with the Tonga Health Team.

In Vava’u VYC office manager ’Akosita Tua will be the team leader from Vava’u and at Ha’apai HYC office manager Teisa Fakatene will lead the survey at Ha’apai.

The survey is schedule to fit in within 3month time line so late October we will be able to look at the final report of these survey and the findings.

TNYC have conduct a similar survey on behavior and lifestyle of youth way back in 2008 .  In a way this is an opportunity for TNYC to collect more data on youth alcohol, lifestyle and substance use.
