School Is My Friend

During the youth parliament of 1992-1998 members of the youth parliament identified, the pressing issues around youth dropping out from schools.

At the end of the youth parliament; members of the of parliament rated “School Drop Out” fourth on the top ten issues of Tonga National Youth Congress (TNYC).

Today TNYC ‘School Is My Friend’ (SIMF) section is the area that deal with this issues. This year over 40 students join the SIMF program.

Further more, with SIMF putting the students first. SIMF officer is now working along side with the principle committee to better coordinate the process of her students.
